Swindlers hit
another city home
BY PATRICK PANGILINAN

Despite repeated vows from the police to arrest swindlers and warnings to the public, on Monday an unidentified man tricked another helper into allowing him and his companion to enter her employer’s house in Bacolod City where they stole cash and valuables.

Police Station 4 commander, Chief Inspector Santiago Rapiz, said they are still trying to establish the identity of the man and woman who stole from the house of Ma. Dolores Matulac, 61, at Aries Street, Capitol Hills Subdivision, Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod, at about 4 p.m. Monday.

Matulac told the police that a man who identified himself as a teacher to her helper, who was alone in the house, took jewelry worth P117,000 and P30,000 in cash.moremoremore

Erjo Junatas being consoled by relatives at the St. Peter’s Chapel in Bacolod City.*

Erjo Junatas arrived yesterday from Florida, U.S.A., finding not just his wife Minni Magdalene and son Gene Noel dead as he was told earlier by his mother over the phone, but also his daughter Ann Margarette who also perished in a car accident in EB Magalona.

“Gadamgo lang ko, indi ni matuod…sakit gid ka tama,”(I am just dreaming, this is not true…this is very painful),  Junatas grieved as he viewed the remains of his wife and children in three coffins at the St. Peter’s funeral chapel in Alijis, Bacolod City.

He knew that his wife and son died on the spot during the accident but was only told about his daughter’s death yesterday by his close friend broadcaster Bambi Yngson, Margarette’s godfather.moremoremore
