Reflexology gab opens

The five-day TESDA Reflexology Seminar will open 1 p.m. today at the Dawis Kinderhome Inc., No. 36 Villarosa Compound, Lizares Avenue, Bacolod City, with Councilor Wilson Gamboa Jr. as guest of honor, a press release from organizers said.

Reflexology expert Tess Soriano will conduct the hands-on activity, organized by DKI and the Abad Santos Madrigal Foundation, and open to those seeking a certificate from the Technical Education Skills Development Authority.

It is aimed at giving participants the opportunity to earn a living, at an affordable cost.  The DKI is a non-government organization supporting the education of 100 children every year, the press release said.

FBC honors new nurses

The Fellowship Baptist College in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, will honor today its pioneer nursing graduates who passed the December 2007 licensure exams, with a parade and a testimonial dinner, a press release from the school said.

Fifty-seven out of 78 FBC nursing graduates passed the board exams and the school posted a 73 percent passing percentage, considered as the highest in nursing board exam results in Negros Occidental, the press release said.

On Wednesday, a review center in Iloilo City where the graduates reviewed from July to November 2007, tendered a dinner for the FBC nursing board passers, the press release added.*

Bank donates computers

Computer sets were donated to two schools in Western Visayas by the City Savings Bank-Bacolod recently, a press release from the bank said.

Recipients were the Negros Occidental National Agro-Industrial School of Home Industries and the Caningay National High School.

Branch head Julius Tiples and staff led the turnover to the NONAISHI represented by vocational school administrator Patricio Demo, administrative officer Nelson Tayson and some teachers.  

School principal Nancy Gayem, disbursing officer Eric Singuan, and PTCA officers received the donation for the CNHS, the press release said.

At present, CSB has 17 branches in the Visayas and Mindanao. In Bacolod, the branch is located at the Ground Floor 722, Metropolis Towers, at Lacson Street, the press release added.*
