Sketches of 2
swindlers readied

BY PATRICK PANGILINAN

The police yesterday said they will have facial sketches made of two alleged Canadians who swindled a woman in Bacolod City Wednesday in hopes of getting information that would lead to their arrests.

Police Station 1 commander, Chief Inspector Noel Manaay, said, Marites Acevedo is willing to describe Allen Maxwell and “Dave,” to a National Bureau of Investigation artist so their cartographic sketches can be made and circulated.

The two men took Acevedo’s P200,000 after a supposed computer parts business proposal at the victim’s internet café at Gatuslao Street, Bacolod, at about 5 a.m. Wednesday, police records show.

Manaay said the two have mostly likely left Negros Island after taking Acevedo’s money.

Acevedo told the police both Maxwell and “Dave” have black complexion and speak fluent English.

Maxwell is stocky in build and is about 5 feet 3 inches tall while “Dave” is slim in build, about 6’1” tall, and is about 26 years old, Acevedo told investigators.*PP
