4 injured in Negros
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Four members of two families in Sagay City and Hinobaan, Negros Occidental, were injured in separate stabbing and shooting incidents, on March 4 and 5.

Jonathan Colanag, 56, and his son, Arnel, 33, were shot allegedly by Joel Sungkit, and his brother, Andres, at Sherman Hill in Brgy. Baviera, Sagay City, Tuesday.

Supt. William Senoron, Sagay police chief, said Colanag was hit in the chest and left arm, while his son, suffered a gunshot wound in the stomach.

The two victims were immediately brought to the Alfredo Marañon District Hospital in Brgy. Bato, Sagay City, for treatment of their stab wounds.

Police investigations show the two suspects were having a drinking spree at the house of Colanag, when the shooting incident took place.

The two suspects, one of them armed with a .38 caliber revolver, are missing.

The next day, a couple was also stabbed allegedly by a homosexual in Brgy. 1 Poblacion, Hinobaan, police said.

Victims Teddy Bariquet, and his wife, Lilian, were sleeping, when  suspect identified as David Bismanos, barged into their house, and stabbed them.

Bariquet sustained four stab wounds in his stomach, while his wife, was stabbed in the left shoulder.

Initial reports said that the stabbing of the couple was a retaliation by Bismanos, who was earlier boxed by Romnick, son of the victims.

Bismanos,  the 45-year-old neighbor of the victims, remained at-large as of press time.*GPB
