Vis-Min Expo held in Cebu
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The province of Negros Oriental is joining the Vis-Min Travel and Lifestyle Expo 2008, the 4th International Travel, Tours and Lifestyle Expo, which started yesterday and will run until tomorrow at the SM Cebu City Trade Hall, in Cebu.

Senior Tourism Operations Officer Myla Mae Abellana heads the delegation of tourism officers and city and municipal officials of the province.

The Vis-Min Expo has grown to be the biggest and most colorful showcase of Visayas and Mindanao tourism products and industry-related goods and services for the domestic and international markets, organizers said.

Abellana said a theme booth presentation will project choice tourism attractions and products of Negros Oriental, as well as the province’s finest resorts and hotels.

National government and tourism officials graced the Expo, which drew hundreds of local and foreign tour operators, potential tourism investors, and travel writers.

The province’s participation is designed to sustain its presence in the regional tourism picture and attract a bigger share of visitor influx, generating greater economic benefits for Negros Oriental, Abellana added.*JG
