SU youth group joins
call for Gloria ouster
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

A group of students in Silliman University yesterday  joined  their counterparts in other parts of the country in calling for the ouster of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Youth DARE-Silliman University chapter, in a statement, said they cannot stay on the sidelines while government coffers are consistently being pilloried by those who have been elected to uphold the collective dignity of the Filipino people.

The chapter said the latest NBN-ZTE scandal is a classic example of a mind-dizzying government corruption that is not only disturbing but revolting.

“Too long has the President brandished that Central Visayas is her bailiwick and fortress of dominance. We will shatter this perpetuated myth- for even the most tolerant people have their point of saturation when they are compelled, by circumstances, to rally against the hegemonic power and sever the puppet strings which she has masterfully crafted to make the people act according to her whims,” their statement added.*JG
