| The Philippine Water Works Association will hold an Appreciation Seminar on Water Supply Development at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Corporate Hall, in Bacolod City, Friday, a UNO-R press release said.
The free seminar, held in line with the Professional Development of the PWWA, is co-sponsored by the UNO-R College of Engineering, and is for 5th year B.S. Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, B.S. Chemistry Students, and instructors teaching Water Supply Subjects.
Invited schools are Carlos Hilado Memorial State College, Technological University of the Philippines, University of St. La Salle, West Negros University, and Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, the press release added.*

Skills training set
for 5th district folk
The Office of Rep. Ignacio Arroyo (Neg.Occ., 5th district), in cooperation with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, will conduct community-based skills training for residents of the district, for three weeks starting April 1, a press release from his office said.
A total of 240 slots are available for the training of fishersfolk, farmers, out-of-school youth, unemployed adults and their beneficiaries.
Arroyo has allocated P 1 million for the program, designed to serve the need for industrial training in the district such as welding and fabrication, plumbing, small engine repair, and engine tune-up, among others, the press release said.
The project also aims to produce barangay-based skilled workers to generate employment and livelihood for self-employment, and produce the productivity output of small and micro enterprises.
