| The San Carlos Bioenergy Inc. announced yesterday that its construction is now in full swing and is geared for commercial operations in the first quarter of 2009.
Technical components of the ethanol production and power cogeneration facility, which will generate 125,000 liters of ethanol daily, have already been erected, with 600 employees contracted by project developers to work at the plant site in Brgys. Punao and Palampas.
The SCBI project office has hired 44 employees now based in the project office, including 14 from San Carlos City. It is also seeking qualified San Carlos residents to fill in some key positions for its ongoing operations.
Job openings are posted in San Carlos City at the Emerald Arcade in the Center Mall, City Hall, PESO Office, in the six barangays of the poblacion as well as in Palampas and Punao.
SCBI said the Multi-Sectoral Monitoring Team has donated medical supplies and equipment to the host barangays as part of the company’s Social Development Program.
The program also includes collaboration with the City Health and Waterworks Departments in sanitizing the water supply in the two barangays.*
