Amor stuns NPBC
for bowling crown
 

Amor Adobo/ASSFBI downed the twice-to-beat Negros Professional Bowlers and Sharp to bag the men’s title, while Condura ASSFBI Ladies stopped Lady Dragon in the finals in the Knights of Columbus Open Trio Bowling Tournament Sunday night at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

In the individual contest, Mandoy Hervias of Sharp, Sylvia Del Rosario and July Borlado, of the ASSFBI champion teams won the master’s bowler titles in their respective divisions.

Hervias won in the premiere Class A bracket, Del Rosario triumphed in the women’s side and Borlado topped the non-rated department.

Seeded No.4 in bracket A, Amor Adobo downed sister team Silverado before winning over No. 2 Davies in the semis, 313-312.

In class A finals, Adobo overpowered No.1 and twice-to-beat NPBC squad in bracket A finals, 326-312.

In the battle of the champions,   Amor ASSFBI kept their sizzling run beating bracket B champion, Sharp in the battle for the tournament’s crown, 341-337.

Carrying the colors for the winning team were Roger Flores, Rene Buencuhillo, July Borlado, Fred Perez, Steve Ramos and Nilo Maghari.

Representing Sharp were Zards Odango, Rey Balaan, Mandoy Hervias and Fred Empio; Hernand Garciniego; Willy Mahilum, Joe Latoza, Rey Gargar and Ronnie Arroyo, for NPBC; Allan Baer, Cesar Sumaylo and Alba Puentebella for Triple-C.

Mulo Aircon Services led by Romulo Ramos and Barangay I/ASSFBI, of Sammy Gaitan placed third runners-up, respectively.

In the distaff corner, Condura ASSFBI subdued the Bebing Uy’s Lady Dragon in the championship, 371-314 for the crown.

Panasonic and Firefly Ladies settled for second and third runners-up.

The women’s champion were composed of Sylvia Del Rosario, Juliet Regollo, Lea Javier and Remy Dilag, while the Dragons were Betsy Tan, Cecil Biendo and Jomeleyn De La Cruz.

Panasonic and Team Justice were the winners in the consolation finals. The members of the winning teams were Boy Romero, Rey Bello, Abe leong and Tikboy Empleo, while Weena Magturo,Leda Exito, Laila Gulmatico and Maja Dely.*HLG
