| A Training-Workshop on Metal Inert Gas/Metal Active Gas Welding will be conducted by the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines-Negros Occidental Chapter on June 18 to 20 at the Technology and Livelihood Development Center , at Gatuslao Extension, Bacolod City , organizers said in a press release.
The technical training, in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Trade and Industry, will have resource speakers from the Metals Industry Research and Development Center .
MIG-MAG welding involves a process of using an arc struck between a consumable electrode or filler metal and the sheet metal to be welded. This form of welding is a very versatile process, resulting in lower welding time.
Small and medium enterprises from the furniture, metalworking, gifts and houseware, and related sectors are encouraged to participate, well as those from the academe and government involved in related fields, the press release said.
Registration fee is P1,500, inclusive of meals, materials and kits.
