| SEvangelist James Horvath and his team will be in Bacolod City on June 18, to conduct a youth and children’s crusade, a press release from organizers said.
The team will first hold an activity at the Bacolod public plaza, before the main youth crusade at the Villamonte Gym, at 7 p.m.
Thousands of youth Christian leaders will attend the rally, which is supported by several Christian churches throughout Bacolod. AIM Negros through its president, Pastor Cesar Gubac, is spearheading the affairs, the press release said.
On June 21, the same team will also conduct a children’s crusade at the BAYS Center in Bacolod, from 8 to 11 a.m. There will be a puppet show and children’s presentation led by the children of Dr. James Horvath and wife Mitchelle, the press release added.*

Talisay children
get school supplies
The Talisay City government, through the Local School Board, recently distributed free school supplies for about 17,757 pupils in 26 public schools, a press release from the city said
During the enrolment period, a distribution center was put up at every school where these supplies were given.
The program is aimed at preparing the students, and to relieve the parents of their children’s enrolment and school finances, the press release said.
Mayor Eric Saratan said education reform can be done through innovative collaboration. This has been going on for the past couple of years, but this time the distribution is made before the opening of classes, the press release added.*

Bayawan hog raisers organize
Hog raisers in Bayawan, Negos Oriental, organized themselves into the Bayawan Hog Raisers Organization and were assured of support by Mayor German Saraña Jr., a press release from the group said.
Saraña inducted the officers of the BHRO at the old Tourism Center Social Hall of Bayawan. Sworn in were Noel Oracion as president; Romeo Tizon, vice president; Ma. Lee Marguin, secretary; Nena Teves, treasurer; Madelyn Pilingon and Teresa Estrella, auditors; and Eduard Ybanez and Harry Balisco, public relations officers.
Meanwhile, Saraña said he is considering the construction of a model a Rice Hull Palay Dryer, whose inventor/achiever is from Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Saraña was one of the mayors who recently toured Vietnam to observe its rice production, the press release said.
He said the dryer he plans to purchase for the city can dry night and day some 200 bags per cycle, in eight to 10 hours, the press release added.*IBC
