PNP: Pa gets own
daughters pregnant
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

For allegedly molesting his two minor daughters who are now pregnant, a construction worker is now behind bars in E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.

Police Chief, Inspector Samuel Mina, yesterday said they are readying rape charges against the suspect who was arrested by the police on Thursday at his residence in Sitio Bantud, Brgy. 3 poblacion, E.B. Magalona.

Initial police investigations show that the 36-year-old suspect who is a widower, allegedly molested his two daughters, whenever he got drunk.

Mina said the molestation of two minors, aged 12 and 13, and are elementary students, was discovered by their teacher who had subjected them to pregnancy tests.

After finding them positive, he added, the teacher immediately sought the help of the E.B. Magalona police Women and Children's Concern Desk, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, for the arrest of the suspect, and the custody of two minor victims.

Mina said the suspect confessed to having molested his two daughters.

Police investigations also showed that the 12-year-old is now five months pregnant, and her elder sister, who is also pregnant, are now undergoing psychological counseling.

The molestation of the two minors started last year, the police said.*GPB
