Ba-Neg offer titles
to city, province

Players and team officials of the of the Bacolod-Negros girls' softball teams who represented the country in the Asia-Pacific qualifying in Guangzhou, China, recently said they are dedicating their success to the Filipino nation and the people of Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.
Despite the controversies hounding their trip to China, officials of the three teams from Education and Training Center Schools I and II and the Domingo Lacson National High School said they are glad that the girls won the championship titles and earned the right to represent the Bacolod, Negros, and the Philippines in the World Series slated next month in the United States. 
| Olympic hope lies on MANILA – Philippine Taekwondo Association president Robert Aventajado yesterday said that "luck in the draw" would play a vital role in the campaign of Toni Rivero to bring home the country's first ever Olympic gold medal in the Beijing Games slated August 8-24. “Rivero together with Tshomlee Go, they're ready for the Olympic challenge. But luck in the draw will help her tremendously,” Aventajado said in a report. |
