Lady of the evening

Just like any ordinary day, Loise San Roque marked her birthday on June 28 by going to an early Mass with husband Bio, children Charo, Bambi and Jeg.

They then went for an eat-all-you-can lunch at L'Fisher Hotel, in Bacolod , then back home for a restful afternoon.

Sister friends Shirley, Charry, Nilda, and Tisay invited the celebrator to join them for an exclusive dinner for ladies, without their children or husbands, at around 7 in the evening.

Arriving at L'Sea, she was met by the group and Loise pointed to one corner where to sit, but the group insisted that she didn't have to worry, as they had decided to occupy one function room, to make the celebration private and intimate.

When she opened the door, Loise was surprised to see familiar faces, including her husband, children and siblings, business associates, neighbors, sisters and even their family doctor and lawyers.

She was so surprised; all she could say was “thank you,” to all. She thanked the group for organizing the event, and for the cute birthday.

She was even more surprised to learn that the two lechons she was asked by the group to order, was for her birthday. During dinner, a short program was prepared by her only daughter Charo.

The lady of the night was asked to say something and at the middle of her speech, she got carried away and spoke about the kindness and goodness of her Mom.

To Loise, may you have more birthdays to celebrate and God bless you and your family.

Remember: Meet God in the morning and ask for guidance when you pray. You will never in your lifetime face another hopeless day.*
