BY GILBERT BAYORAN

A 3-year old girl who suffered third degree burns in a fire that burned their nipa hut in Hacienda Conchita, Brgy. Cambugsa, Hinigaran, 7 p.m. Tuesday, died at 5 a.m. yesterday, at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital in Bacolod City .

The victim, identified as Jelly Anne Gabriel, 3, was still alive after she was pulled out from their house by her father, Jaime.

Police investigations showed that the two children of Gabriel were cooking rice for their dinner, at the time. The burning roof fell on Jelly Anne who was reportedly sleeping.

Her three other siblings, Barontoy, 12, Cris Jun, 10, and Jerra Mae, 1, were able to get out of the burning house.

Vice Governor Isidro Zayco yesterday ordered the Provincial Social Welfare Development Office to help in bringing the remains of Jelly Anne to Hinigaran, and to provide for the basic needs of the Gabriel family.*GPB
