Wonderful 80 th birthday

Aida Servando Lizares celebrated her 80th birthday at Sugarland Hotel in Bacolod City recently.

A thanksgiving mass was held at the poolside officiated by Fr. Jerry Alminaza and Fr. Ronald Quejano, followed by a sumptuous dinner at the big ballroom.

The Negros Occidental Pharmaceutical Association of which Aida is a prominent member, entertained the crowd with their modern musical dance number, followed by Edith Robillo's presentation, and excerpts from “South Pacific” by the children and grandchildren of the celebrator. The show was directed by Rene Hofileña and Eva Loarca.

Joel Bodegon sang beautifully “One Enchanted Evening.” Sophie Lizares Bodegon was the emcee.

Guests enjoyed the production number participated in by the celebrator's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One could see the lovely and smiling face of the birthday lady.

All of her children are now successful professionals, and her apos also excel in school. Almost all the organizations in which she is very active were well represented.

Aida's birthday was an event to remember.

She said, “Thank You Lord for this wonderful night.”

Remember: He who tends his land will have an abundance of bread, while he who chases illusion will have his fill of misery.*
