PESO hires 65 for jobs abroad
 

Sixty-five applicants have been accepted for jobs through the Bacolod Public Employment Service Office as of Jan. 25, the mayor's office said.

Executive Assistant to the City Mayor, Moises de la Cruz, whose cluster supervises the PESO, said Americana Quality, recruiter for service crew for Pizza Hut, KFC and other such food chains in the United Arab Emirates , hired a number of applicants from Bacolod .

He said the firm's representative Ahmed Hassan Ahmed said there is presently a need for 6,000 workers in the United Arab Emirates .

Ahmed hired on the spot an applicant who will work as shift manager for Pizza Hut in Dubai .

John Maneclang, president and general manager of Lead Resources Management Corp., is also in Bacolod to scout for employees through the PESO Office.

De la Cruz said several principals have approached the PESO for assistance in hiring workers for abroad.

East-West Manpower will be also entertain applicants on January 28 to 29 at the PESO office.

We are fully-booked with job recruitments until the end of February, de la Cruz said.

The PESO Jobs Fair is held weekly under the city government's Trabaho para sa Bacolodnon project.*
