Return of 4 CLMMRH officials
depends on result of hearings
BY NIDA BUENAFE

Department of Health lawyer, Adonis Meñez, yesterday said the return to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital of its officials given new assignments while investigations on alleged hospital irregularities are going on will depend on the result of the hearings conducted by their legal department.

Meñez, who also served as hearing officer of the charges, said that also to be taken into consideration is the performance of the management team, brought in to supervise hospital operations while hospital chief Domingo Vega, chief of clinics Benito Bionat and administrative officer Bryan Baylon were transferred to Cebu .

He said that the two-day hearing on the administrative charges against the hospital officials went smoothly as all concerned parties and their lawyers were very cooperative.

He said Baylon has filed a motion to dismiss the charges against him and DOH prosecutor Benjamin Vargas was given 10 days to submit his comment on the motion.

Meanwhile, CLMMRH officer-in-charge Dr. Epifania Simbul said the focus of the present hospital management is to redirect all employees from unproductive issues to improving hospital services.

She said the hospital has the best and most qualified medical personnel whose performance can equal those in the private hospitals and all they need is encouragement and motivation.

While investigations on alleged irregularities continue, Simbul said trainings on team building, values formation, and stress management were conducted among all hospital employees.*NAB
