Court protest set
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Court employees in Negros Occidental are being urged to join a nationwide protest starting Monday against what they call the uneven distribution of benefits.

In a text message to fellow employees of first and second level courts, organizers from the Philippine Association of Court Employees urged them to wear black on Monday and every Monday after during their flag ceremonies.

This will be done in protest against the uneven distribution of benefits to employees of the higher and the lower courts, the employees were told.

A Bacolod court employee said they will wear black on Monday as an expression of their protest, but it will not affect their work.

Executive Judge Ray Alan Drilon of the Regional Trial Court of Bacolod said he was not informed of the impending protest but would check on the matter.

If they show up in black it will be their right of free expression, he said.*CPG
