Escalante City implementing
new business listing system
 

The Escalante City government is initiating measures to improve its business registration process as it accepts processing and renewal of business permits this month, a government press release said.

The project for the improvement and documentation of Business Registration Procedures in the cities of Iloilo and Escalante, is being jointly undertaken by the Department of Trade and Industry, German Technical Cooperation, in partnership with the Central Philippine University.

The streamlining measures include several stages - process improvement and computerization, programs on partnership and participation, information, education and communication, and customer satisfaction.

The city's business sector has declared support for the implementation of the streamlined procedures during a public forum, the press release said.

Meanwhile, the required documents are issued by the following offices: Agriculture Clearance, by the City Agriculture Office; Barangay Clearance for Business, Punong Barangay; Building Permit, Office of the City Engineer; Fire Safety Inspection Certificate, Office of the City Fire Marshall;

Market Clearance/Market Certification, Office of the City Treasurer; Police Clearance, Office of the Chief of Police; Sanitation Certificate, City Health Office; and Zoning Clearance, Office of the Zoning Officer.*
