Machine shop robbed

More than P100,000 worth of engines and personal items were lost in robbery and theft incidents in Bacolod City yesterday, police reports said.

Stolen were two machine engines from the shop of Ramon Rivera at the corner of 19th-20th streets, in Bacolod , at about 7:30 a.m. yesterday, police records show.

Rivera told the police the suspects entered the shop through an unlocked door and took the P90,000 Kennedy Type motor and the Fuso engine worth P45,000, that had been left to him by customers for overhauling.

He said the suspects must have brought a heavy equipment lifter to get the items because both weighed 200 kilos each.

PO3 Arthur Alejano of Police Station 1 said they still don't have any suspect, but added that Rivera is coordinating with them to watch junkshops that may buy the stolen motors.

Meanwhile, Albert Inventor of Ilog town, Negros Occidental, reported to Police Station 2 that unidentified persons broke into his rented room at Aguinaldo Street , Brgy. 4, in Bacolod , at about 8 p.m. Monday.

Inventor, 24, lost an P8,000 MP3, a watch worth P5,000, cash, and clothes, police records show.
