| The Cooperative Development Authority, through its Board of Administration, has approved the implementation of a Revised Reporting System, for all registered cooperatives, a CDA press release said.
The system will replace the use of the Annual Report Form and the Annual Information Sheet.
The use of the new system was discussed at an orientation held recently at the Sugarland Hotel, Bacolod City . Cooperatives may call the CDA office in Negros Occidental at Tel. Nos. 433-2628, or 707-6251, the press release added.*

Dinagsa Festival set Sunday
The Dinagsa Festival 2008 in Cadiz City will unfold Sunday with eight contingents from different barangays participating the street dance competition, a press release from organizers said.
Aklan's Ati-Atihan Tribe and Tribu Ni Bading will join as guest performers.
Competing tribes are Amaron of Barangays Magsaysay, Jerusalem and Celestino Villacin; Tibanda – Barangays Tiglawigan, Daga and Banquerohan; Hitalon – Barangay Zone VI; Querosan Tres Marias – Barangays Zone IV, Sicaba and Luna; Tinambini – Barangays Zone III, Tinampaan and Mabini; Uno-Dos-Ca (Maraynon) – Barangays Zone I, Zone II and Cabahug; Bobocad – Barangay Caduhaan, Burgos and Bonifacio; and Tribu Yabyab Doongol.
The first place winner will receive P50,000; second place, P40,000; third place, P30,000; fourth place, P25,000; and, fifth place, P15,000. The Best in Costume, Best in Sound, Best in Performance and Originality will get P5,000 each, the press release said.
Other events include the search for Dinagsa Queen and Ginoong Cadiz tonight and Jan. 26, respectively, to be held at the Don Bernardo L. Benedicto Community Center in Cadiz City .
A nightly street party will also be held at major streets of Cadiz until Jan. 27, featuring top bands from the Manila, Cebu and Bacolod, the press release added.*

Acoustic challenge next month
The first SM City Bacolod Acoustic Challenge called “My friends and my guitar,” in cooperation with RGMA Campus Radio 107.1, will be held next month, a press release from organizers said.
The competition is open to amateur and professional bands with three to four members not over 35 years of age. Interested groups may apply at the Marketing Department SM City.
The deadline for registration is February 8, while eliminations are set February 15 and 16, 6 p.m. at the Northwing Fiesta Strip of the mall, the press release said.
Three weekly finals winners will receive P1,000 and will compete in the grand finals on Feb. 23, 6 p.m. A special award for Best Original Composition, will be aired on Campus Radio. Also at stake are the Best Guitarist award, and grand prize of P8,000, and second and third place prizes of P4,000 and P2,000, respectively.
Managing director Henry Onglatco of Real Music will attend the grand finals, the press release added.*
