Gov. Emilio Macias II said yesterday he will pursue the completion of the Sidlakang Negros Showroom as various local government units have agreed to continue constructing their booths.

Macias said the village and showroom will soon become the center for tourists in the province. The agri-fair booth will be managed and maintained by the local government units to showcase their products.

He added that putting up of a permanent structure for the agri-fair booths aimed at making it a show window for localities, and to save funds during the yearly Buglasan Festival celebration.

Hotels, resort owners and tour operators can put up a booking office at the Sidlakang Negros, the governor said.

Macias, on the other hand, said he will not be affected by criticisms on the establishment of the village, and that, his critics do not understand the concept.

He added that his administration also welcomes suggestions from individuals who may have better ideas for the province.*MA
