| Administrative officer Bryan Baylon of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital yesterday said he is ready for the two-day marathon hearing that will start tomorrow on the charges filed against him and other CLMMRH officials.
He said lawyers from DOH will hear the charge of falsification of Daily Time Record filed against him by hospital chief Dr. Domingo Vega on the first day and the irregularities on various procurements in the hospital the next day.
Baylon is demanding for an open public hearing and full disclosure of the investigation results on alleged hospital anomalies to the public and the media. He added that he still reports to the hospital although he has not been paid of his salaries since October 2007.
Hospital officer-in-charge Dr. Epifania Simbul said that as far as hospital records are concerned, Baylon is detailed to Cebu and his continued defiance of his transfer order has to be documented and sent to the central office.
However, Baylon cited the provisions in the Magna Carta for Public Health Workers that says public health workers shall not be transferred and/or reassigned, except in the interest of public service, and in writing.
Simbul said Baylon's case and the charges filed by hospital chief of clinics Dr. Benito Bionat against her and other hospital officials recently, will be handled by the DOH legal department.
She said the CLMMRH is focused on upgrading hospital facilities and improving the system of serving the patients.*NAB
