| Philippine Football Federation president Jose Mari Martinez will hold his first PFF board of governors meeting today at the Legends Hotel in Mandaluyong City to map out the plans and activities of the association for the year, a press release from organizers said.
Coming for the two-day meeting are the 12 PFF board members from Luzon Visayas and Mindanao .
The Luzon board members are Leo Arnaiz of the Baguio Football Association, Glen Caritativo of the Tarlac Football Association, Mindoro Oriental FA's Ronald Patulin and Camarines Sur-Naga FA's Jose Antonio Carpio.
From Visayas are Cebu FA's Jonathan Maximino, Negros Occidental FA's Charlie Cojuangco, Negros Oriental FA's Dick Emperado and Iloilo FA's Mariano Araneta Jr.
Bukidnon FA's Ramon Manlunas, Pagadian-Zambonga del Sur FA's Flaviano Fucoy, Joselito Pinol of North Cotabato and Gerry Romero Romero Salas of Davao are the Mindanao PFF board members.
Martinez said they will approve the makeup of the different PFF committees, discuss their budget for 2008 and also map out the competitions, events and the other activities the federation will be involved in this year, the press statement added.
Among the priorities that the PFF board will discuss is the completion of the association's new office building that was funded by the International Football Federation's Goal Project.
Martinez also said that during the visit of FIFA president Sepp Blatter, he impressed upon them that they should finish with House of Football, so that they can move on with the next project under FIFA.
During Blatter's December visit to Manila to celebrate a century of Philippine Football, the world football chief committed $400,000 for the building of a football complex that will serve the needs of the PFF and its national teams, the press release said.*
