NOPSSCEA 10-Under
tilt opens Jan. 26

One of NOPSSCEA's two developmental leagues, the 10-Under division, kicks off on Jan. 26 with basketball and soft volleyball games taking centerstage at the University of St. La Salle .

Eight squads have confirmed participation in basketball, led by St. La Salle. Also seeing action are Trinity Christian School , St. John's Institute, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, Jack and Jill School-City Heights , JJS-PHHC, Bacolod Tay Tung High School and St. Theresita's Academy.

Disputing the crown in the boys' soft volley tournament Queen of Peace School, which is fielding two squads, La Consolacion College-Main, USLS, JJS-PHHC, St. Benilde School and SJI.

Twelve squads are gunning for the girls' title with SJI sending three squads, QPS, La Salle and Tay Tung fielding two and TCS, JJS-PHHC and SBS also seeing action.

The athletics competition on Feb. 2 will have athletes from USLS, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos , TCS, JJS-PHHC, BTTHS and Brookside Garden Academy , while chess on Feb. 9 will be participated in by UNO-R, USLS, JJS-PHHC.

Only the football competition of the other developmental league --- the aspirants' category --- has yet to be concluded with Don Bosco Technical Institute, La Salle and West Negros College in a three-cornered fight for the title.*CPT
