Public invited to see
play on life of priests
 

“Ribok Gikan sa Tagipusuon,” a play revolving around the story of two priests in their pursuit of justice and peace during the landscape of the martial law dictatorship opened yesterday at the John Paul 2 Cultural Center in Bacolod City .

The Sacred Heart Seminary ( Bacolod ) School of Philosophy and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in cooperation with the Columban Missionaries – Philippines is inviting the public to see the play, a press release said.

Inspired by the books “Revolution from the Heart,” “Island of Tears, Island of Hope,” and “Seeds of Injustice” by Columban priest Niall O'Brien, and produced in line with the Diocese of Bacolod Jubilee Celebration, Ribok which is directed by Rudy Reveche, features the Lingganay Theatre group of the Sacred Heart Seminary with members and alumni of the Kalingaw Repertory.

The Niall O'Brien Center for Peace also invites everyone to attend the talk on “Insights of Prisoner 30855 – Negros 9 Revisited” by Fr. Brian Gore at the Sacred Heart Seminary Parlor 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 19.

The regular performances are on January 17-18, 23-25 at 6:30 p.m. with Matinees on Jan. 17, 18, 23 and 25 at 2 p.m. and the Gala on Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at P100 and P70 (students) for regular shows at P50 during the matinee and P500 (with cocktails) and P100 for the Gala.
