Thirteen exchange students from Busan , South Korea , arrived in Dumaguete recently to study under the English as Second Language program at Foundation University , Dumaguete City .

The Korean exchange students will undergo the ESL program for five straight weeks of classes.

The FU teachers specializing in teaching ESL will train the Korean students on the proper use of English grammar, writing and speaking the language.

They also have one-on-one tutorial classes everyday at the library with English major students of FU.

The Korean students are staying at the Smeets Hall Dormitory inside the FU North Campus.

Roullette Cordevilla, director of ESL program in FU, said nursing students who are also boarding at the dormitory are instructed to interact with the Korean students.

After the five-week training, the Korean students are scheduled to go on educational tour to the different tourism attraction in the province and Central Visayas. *MA
