Negros Oriental will send two contingents to the Sinulog Festival in Cebu , City on Sunday.

The defending Buglasan Festival of Festivals Grand Champion Hambabalud Festival of Jimalalud and the first runner-up of the Pakol Festival of Santa Catalina will represent the province this year.

The Hambabalud and Pakol Festivals are both portraying the message of protecting mother nature and preserving the environment.

Santa Catalina Mayor Ruben Melodia said an added feature to their Pakol Festival is the thanksgiving in honor of the Sto. Niño.

Negros Oriental Governor Emilio Macias II said the provincial government will support the two entries that will carry the name of the province.*MA
