| Barangay I Silverado/ASSFBI trounced Negros Professional Bowlers Club/LJP Trading, 351-345 to win the crown of the Pre-Dinagyang Open Trio Bowling Tournament, at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City Sunday.
The team of Allan Baer, Norman Pineda, Boy Tisoy Villanueva and Nerio Regollo overpowered LJP Trading squad represented by Sarge Odango, Hernand Garciniego and Rey Bala-an in the finals to win the top prize.
Baer and Pineda led the scoring for Silverado with 123 and 120 balls, respectively, while Garciniego, Balaan and Odango for NPBC with 120, 115 and 110, respectively.
Before being beaten by Brgy. 1 in the titular showdown, the Gil Villagante's NPBC squad crushed SR Bowlers of Chebong Be, 369-323, in the semis.
Carrying the colors for SR were Ben Pison, Ricky Zamora, Ricky Ondovilla and Thad Arrey.
Meanwhile, seven teams from Bacolod City will leave for Iloilo on Friday to participate in the 5 th Dinagyang Invitational Open Trio Bowling Tournament on Jan.19 and 20 at the St. Elizabeth Bowling Alley and Billiard Center in Valeria Street, Iloilo City.
Joining the tournament are Tough Trucks NPBC Bowling Team (Jaime Chua, Willy Mahilum, Ronie Arroyo and Joe Latoza); Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc/Brgy.1 Silverado (Allan Baer, Boy Villanueva and Norman Pineda;
ASSFBI 2 ESD Amor (Steve Ramos, Rene Buencuchillo and Roger Flores), ASSFBI 3 Mulo Aircon Services (Wilson Casas, Edgar Del Rosario, Nognog Gatila and Romulo Ramos);
ASSFBI 4 (ESD Triple C (Edgar Del Rosario, Nerio Regollo and Boboy Villaflor); NPBC LJP Trading/Systenic Farm (Hernand Garciniego, Sarge Odango and Rey Balaan); and SR Bowlers (Ben Pison, Ricky Zamora, Ricky Ondovilla, Thad Arrey and Bong Be) in the men's division.
Rose Pablico, Ruby Cordero and Precy Pillo will play for NPBC Ladies and Sylvia del Rosario, Juliet Regollo, and Lea Javier will see action for ASSFBI Condura Ladies.*HLG
