Bishop scores early
political posturing
BY NIDA BUENAFE

Early political positioning reported in the media reflects the lack of maturity among politicians, Bacolod Bishop Vicente Navarra said yesterday.

He said it is very sad to note that selfish agenda and motivations still play a big role in society.

Navarra said it is about time that politicians and the people behind them forget their vested interests and start thinking that politics is not about money making or enhancing their own properties and position. Government leaders should meditate on what service is all about, he said.

The bishop also said that presumptions of destabilization plots against the government can be prevented if those who are raising valid observations are listened to instead of being condemned.

He added that labeling those who are vocal in their observations as enemy of the state is not correct.*NAB
