TransCo to reset,
shorten brownouts

The National Transmission Corp. is carefully studying the possibility of shortening and rescheduling of the power interruption in Negros island, earlier reported to take place in February and March, its Corporate Communications Office said in a statement issued yesterday.

TransCo said it discussed the interruption of power supply during its coordination meeting with customers and other representatives from the energy sector.

It was reported earlier that 10-hour brownouts will occur in February and continuous power outage two to four days in March will affect its consumers all over the island.

Information on the scheduled brownout will be announced, TransCo added.*
