A 24-year-old woman was injured when she resisted an alleged sexual-molestation attempt by a security guard in Bacolod City last night, Aksyon Radyo reported.

The woman, whose name is being withheld, was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital with a wound in her right hand after grappling for a knife with her attacker in Purok Mars, Brgy. 38, Bacolod City , at about 8 p.m. yesterday, the report said.

The suspect, Darwin Grijaldo of San Enrique town, Negros Occidental, was still at large as of press time last night, it added.

The woman said she had asked the help of Grijaldo to look for a boarding house and he told her they were going to a house he had found when he suddenly shoved her into a vacant building in Purok Mars and pointed a knife at her, the report said.

It also said that the woman managed to parry the knife, kick Grijaldo in the crotch, and ask for help from bystanders.

The police said they are still looking into the incident.*PP
