Guv brought to hospital
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Gov. Joseph Marañon was brought to the Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod City yesterday for treatment and a DAILY STAR source last night said his situation had stabilized.

The governor was reportedly suffering from a fever brought on by an infection and the accumulation of water in his stomach, the source said.

He had earlier lost weight due to lack of appetite but had insisted on continuing to work even from his home.

The governor went on leave last week on advice from his doctors to get some rest.

His chief of staff, Jose Ma. Valencia , said his doctors were working on determining the cause of his loss of appetite and were addressing it.*CPG
