Negros officials to meet
at Balbina on insurance
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Negros Occidental officials are set to meet at Hacienda Balbina, Pontevedra, Saturday to discuss the proposed setting up a locally funded health insurance program for the province, Acting Gov. Isidro Zayco said yesterday.

The meeting is being held in Balbina because Ambassador Eduardo Cojuangco has invited former Gov. Faustina Dy Jr. to discuss how he implemented the program in Isabela, Zayco said.

Congressmen, mayors, vice mayors and councilors who head the health committees in their town and city councils have been invited to listen to Dy's talk, he said.

The meeting on Saturday is not being called to discuss politics, it is purely to discuss a proposed alternative health insurance program to benefit Negrenses, he said.*CPG
