Give clothing allowance directly
BY ROMY AMARADO

Board Member Leah Ga Bromo said Thursday she wants the P4,000 clothing allowance released to Negros Oriental government Capitol employees immediately, not in July.

Bromo, in the regular of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, said the employees need the money and it should be given to them directly, otherwise, money making could happen.

“I don't want that somebody to earn a commission on this,” she said.

Gov. Emilio Macias II said it is possible that Bromo's suggestion will be followed. He, however, said that not all of the more than 1,700 Capitol employees will receive the allowance at the same time, and that, those who have not yet reached six months in service are not entitled to it.

Macias said the province needs about P4 million for the allowance.*RA
