Valencia offering
bounty for ‘serial' killers
BY ROMY AMARADO

Valencia , Negros Oriental, is offering a bounty for the arrest and prosecution of “serial” killers of cows in the town, Mayor Rodolfo Gonzales said.

Gonzales said a P10,000 cash reward will be given to any person who will give information leading to the apprehension of the suspects in the slaughter of the animals.

Three cows in the town have been killed by unidentified culprits, while being grazed by their owners in the past months, Gonzales said.

The modus operandi was the same, with the cow slaughtered right in the grazing land and the meat taken with only the bones left, the mayor said.

Gonzales said the police already have suspects, but more information is needed to pin them down.

“They might just have wanted money for their families to enjoy Christmas. But that should not be enough reason to sacrifice our morality,” Gonzales said.*RA
