What 2010 are
they talking about?

Close to 10 presidential aspirants are positioning for the 2010, presidential election. They believe in the constitutional provision that no president can run for re-election and Gloria will be barred by that provision. It is quite the height of naiveté.

They forget that Gloria is an intellectual twin of Marcos who was totally morally bankrupt; and a copyright of the late dictator addicted to power and money. No one cold put him down. But God did him in finally. As a matter of fact, the only person who lambasted him during martial law was his son, not by Imelda, who grabbed the microphone during the session of the Con-Con and started berating his father for his neglect of him. It never came out in the papers and the young man was softly requested to leave the session hall.

What will Gloria do to stay in power? Right now she is just biding her time allowing everyone to lay open their cards. Meanwhile she has an ace up her sleeves, the House of Representatives. When the right time comes, her nuncios in the house will move to amend the constitution, changing the form of government to parliamentary forms. It will pass.

Now comes the Senate. Through intriguers because of intense rivalry for the Presidency, it will be a divided Senate. The architect of Martial Law, Enrile, is there with Gloria. Through offers that will be difficult to refuse, the Senate will approve cha-cha. The plebiscite that will follow will be taken care of by the likes of Garci all over the country. It will be like a walk in the park for the parliamentary form.
