| Two more persons died in another vehicular accident Thursday night, bringing to six the number of fatalities at the national highway of Himamaylan City alone since November last year, police records show.
Added to the list as a result of a vehicular accident were Jacky Tamba and Rodel Delicano.
Police said the Fuzo Fighter while serving as a fish carrier and driven by Rodolfo Rivero, slammed into the rear portion of a stalled Isuzo cargo truck at about 7 p.m. Thursday along the highway in Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City .
Traffic Investigator PO2 Felicisimo Vingno said Tamba, a helper and brother of Rocky Tamba who was driving the cargo truck, died on the spot, while Delicano was declared dead on arrival at the Valeriano Gatuslao Memorial District Hospital in Himamaylan City .
Vingno said their initial investigations showed that the driver of the Isuzo cargo truck failed to place an early warning device in the rear portion of his vehicle.
Tamba was reportedly fixing the tire of the stalled cargo truck, while Delicano was seated in the front seat of the fish carrier, when the accident occurred.
The driver of the fish carrier identified as Rodolfo Rivero is also being treated for injuries at a hospital in Bacolod City , police said.
Four persons also died in vehicular accidents along the national highway of Himamaylan City in recent months.*GPB
