Defending champion West Negros College clashes with San Carlos City FC on Sunday for the second finals berth in the NOFA Provincial Under-19 Football Championships at the Manuel Y. Torres Sports Center pitch in Bago City .

The Wesnecans of coach Norman Fegidero enter the 10 a.m. game unscathed unlike San Carlos , which lost by forfeiture in its final group match last month.

San Carlos bagged a semifinal berth after its quarterfinal foe Don Bosco Technical Institute forfeited its match, opting to focus on its Provincial Meet bid in December.

The winner between WNC and San Carlos meets University of St. La Salle on Jan. 20 also in Bago City . La Salle has threatened to pull out of the tournament in the wake of the free-for-all near the end of its semis showdown with home team Bago City .

La Salle won 2-0. The match had to be abandon after angry spectators rushed to the pitch and went after the La Salle players.

Roger Banzuela, the USLS varsity sports director, had urged organizers to put proper security measures to ensure the safety of their players.

The NOFA season officially begins today when the Central leg of the grassroots football festival gets going at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos pitch.

Seeing action in the Under-15 tournament are Louisiana of Ma-ao United, Bago City FC, Andres Bonifacio Elementary School, while the Under-13 teams include Real Negrense, UNO-R, Bago, West Negros, Ma-ao United FC, Rizal Elementary School, Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Elementary School.
