Sue me, Macias says
on use of sports hub
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

Gov. Emilio Macias II challenged Thursday any interested person to sue him in court for alleged abuse of authority, for urging the Department of Education to look for other venues if it is will hold the Palarong Panlalawigan this year.

Abusive local government officials should find their way in courts, Macias said.

In his year-end press conference, the governor said he was irked about the appointment of another person as division superintendent of schools by the DepEd in Central Visayas , without official information relayed to his office.

Macias clarified that it was DepEd officer-in-charge Superintendent Victoria Galgo who wrote him about the use of the Lamberto Macias Sports Complex, but he begged off, saying the facility had to undergo rehabilitation in time for the Visayas qualifying events of the Olympics calendared for July 2008.

The governor said everybody has a right to redress from the court.*JG
