‘B' sugar prices up this week
 

Most of the millgate prices of “B” sugar in Negros and Panay were up this week after prices recovered in the last two weeks, price monitor of the Sugar Master Plan Foundation shows.

At the Jan. 10 bidding, only the price of Central Azucarera de la Carlota dropped from P1,029.62 on Jan. 3 to P1,025.50 this week.

Also this week, Binalbagan-Isabela Sugar Company sold its “B” stocks at P1,035.10 (high) and P1,027 (low); Hawaiian-Philippine Company, P1,043.19 (high) and P1,041 (low);

SONEDCO, P1,041; Victorias Milling Company, P1,036; Lopez Sugar Corp., P1,031; Sagay Central Inc., P1,045; Passi I, P1,078.69; Passi II, P1,058.38; and Capiz, P1,045.

The previous week's prices were as follows: BISCOM, P1,029.25 (high) and P1,023 (low); HPCO, P1,040.38 (high) and P1,035.38; SONEDCO, P1,033.87;

VMC, P1,031.35; Lopez Sugar Corp., P1,028.35; Sagay Central Inc., P1,040; Passi I, P1,067.07; Passi II, P1,042; and Capiz, P1,037.

Total volume disposed on Jan. 10 by BISCOM totaled 36,915.53 Lkgs.; CAC, 1,089.83 Lkgs.; HPCO, 10,784.87 Lkgs.; SONEDCO, 3,868.80 Lkgs.; and VMC, 11,256.38 Lkgs.*NLG
