Man nabbed for
selling hand grenade

A man selling a fragmentation grenade for P250 was arrested Tuesday in Sitio Namonbon, Barangay Abis, Mabinay, Negros Oriental, by the town police.

The suspect identified as Jeremy Santillan, 22, single, of Barangay Ugong, Kabankalan City , Negros Occidental was arrested by a team led by Insp. Teodorico Picardal.

Investigation revealed that Santillan is also linked to the carnapping of a black Honda owned by Leopel Pacatang of Larena Street in Guihulngan City .

The vehicle was recovered in Barangay Lucotan, Kabankalan and turned over to its owner.

Meanwhile, SPO1 Robert Banjao and traffic enforcer Marco Mapeso of the Bindoy police station collared seven traffic violators at a checkpoint Sunday, along the national highway of Barangay Tinaogan, Bindoy.

Banjao said those arrested, whom he did not identify, did not have license plates and were issued citation tickets in line with the “no plate, no travel policy” of the provincial police.*RG
