Fireworks over Lupit
BY PATRICK PANGILINAN

A call to the church's laity to be more enlightened believers as it marked one of the highlights of the Christmas season, was issued yesterday by Fr. Jerry Alminasa, rector of the Sacred Heart Seminary, who said he hopes Catholics will be enlightened into being better people.

The parish held a fireworks display at its compound last night, which coincided with the observance of the epiphany, or the Three Kings Day – the story of the three wise men who visited the infant Jesus in Bethlehem . It was sponsored by Ali Oppen.

The viewers repeatedly applauded the display as green, red, blue, and gold streaks of fireworks pierced the gray sky, illuminating the main chapel's steeple.*PP
