My recent trips to Boracay, Davao and Dumaguete, each with different set of friends, were wonderful experiences of nature, adventure and culture.
With my Korean friends, we adventured Boracay, the paradise island and tropical haven. We stayed at a hotel at the beach front. Families enjoy walking barefoot on the powder white sand. The clear waters of this world-renowned beach was tempting. It was also fun swimming. Windsurfers show their skill, too. We enjoyed the banana boat rides, reefwalking, island-hopping and the cuisines served at various restaurants. Nightlife is simply the best. A friend's uncle treated us at his restaurant, and after dinner, we had videoke singing.

During my Davao adventure, we were toured to fruit plantations and orchid farms, and shown the county's highest peak, Mt. Apo . We also marveled over the Philippine eagles, ostriches, crocodiles, tigers and snakes at the “Pearl Farm”.

Meanwhile, our unplanned Dumagute trip was with my La Salle high school friends. They were back from Manila to attend the wedding of our batchmate, Allan Gonzaga. The day after the wedding we invited the bridesmaids from Manila to go on an outing at Dumaguete's Sta. Monica Resort. Everyone had fun as we swam, laughed and savored Dumaguete's delicacies.*
