Engineer killed in road mishap

An electronics and communications engineer died when his motorcycle swerved and crashed to the ground Friday in Brgy. Awaan, Ayungon, Negros Oriental.

Traffic police investigators identified the victim as Vicente Librando, 41, single, of Brgy. Domolog, Bindoy town.

Police said Librando was negotiating the national highway of Brgy. Awaan going north at about 5:15 p.m. when he lost control of his Honda Wave motorcycle with Plate Number IL 1239.

The motorcycle swerved right and crashed, and Librando who fell from it suffered multiple body injuries.

He was rushed to the Bindoy District Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, the police said.

Investigators said the victim was driving without his driver's license and the certificate of registration of his motorcycle.*RG
