The local office of the Department of Trade and Industry is keeping a close watch on the sale of uncertified electrical products, particularly lamps and related items, in stores in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.
This was after the DTI-Negros Occidental Trade and Industry Regulatory Division, headed by Max Ravena, reported the violations of four establishments before the DTI Regional Office 6 late last month.
Among the items sold by the establishments were uncertified Christmas lights and compact fluorescent lamps, records show.

TravelXchange in Bacolod City
The Malaysian Tourism Board will join the 3rd TravelXchange in Bacolod City on February 1 to 3 to feature Malaysia 's multi- tourism attractions, organizers said in a press release.
It will provide information on holiday packages of the Philippines ' neighbor – from accommodation to transportation; from shopping to golfing; from spa to arts; from culture to night life and from meetings to retirement programs.
Malaysia 's word-class resort, A' Famosa, will also take part in the three-day travel event. The 520-hectare integrated resort includes an animal safari, water world, golf course, cowboy town theme park, and a resort hotel complex with villas and condominiums.
