| The Municipal Peace and Order Council in Moises Padilla was reactivated recently in cooperation with various sectors and local government agencies, a press release from the town government said.
Mayor Francisco Nazareno, MPOC chairman, presided over the reorganizational meeting, attended by Interior and Local Government officer Noby Mejica and Lt. Col. Franco Gacal, 11 th Infantry Battalion commanding officer.
The press release said the reactivation was made with the help of Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Peace and Order chairman, Councilor Jimmie Don Plaza .
A stable peace and order situation in a locality is very vital in luring in investors, Nazareno said, adding that the MPOC will also come up with projects and programs to address the peace and order problem in some barangays.
Vice Mayor Cipriano Remo is the MPOC vice chairman. Members are Councilor Jimmie Don Plaza , chairman of the committee on peace and order; chief of police C/Insp. Rosauro Francisco; health officer Dr. Edmundo Janeo; social welfare development officer Corazon Semira; planning and development officer Isidro Marquez; SFO2 Electo Villaester -Bureau of Fire Protection; Councilor Edwin Presquito - religious sector; agriculture officer Napoleon Perez; Councilor Dolly Yasa - women sector; Association of Barangay Captains president Councilor Damaso Garcia; and Councilor Alpine Nikko Alonso - Association of Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president, the press release added.*
