The Lopue’s Table Tennis Association is embarking on a year-round training program aimed at finding talents to form the Negros Occidental squad that will compete in national age-group tournaments.
LOPTTA president Leonito Lopue said the program, scheduled to start Saturday, will cover players ages 8 to 17 years-old. The training session will start from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
“We want to develop future stars in the sport,” Lopue added.
Lopue said the pool will be composed of 10 potential players and will be given training allowance.
The composition of the training pool members will be selected based on the performance during training as well as results of the LOPTTA quartely age-group tournaments. *CPT
