Expose the truth,
peace advocates call

BY NIDA BUENAFE

Peace Advocates in Negros Occidental yesterday said the call for the government to expose the truth behind the ZTE-NBN deal will continue until President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo realizes that she is losing the confidence of the people and change of leadership is an option that she must consider.

Delia Locsin of Paghiliusa sa Paghida-et – Negros said their group believes in peaceful means of seeking the truth and they want to see Arroyo heeding the call of the people to step down out of “delicadeza”, and not because of public pressure.

Locsin said the essence of the mass action for the truth is moral transformation among government leaders who must now come forward to present to the people what they knew about various transactions in the government.

She said it is the duty and responsibility of those in the government to remain truthful to the public whom they serve.*NAB
